The Washington Youth Academy Foundation provides financial assistance to young men and women who complete the rigorous Youth Academy program. The 17-month program includes the 22-week in residence structured program where the student can retrieve up to 8 high school credits. The next 12-month program includes mentoring and completion of high school. Once they complete the program and graduate many want to continue their education, attend vocational or trade school, an internship or job training. The Foundation supports these goals. A majority of the students could not afford to reach their goals without the generous support of individuals, service organizations and companies.
