The Washington Youth Academy along with Kitsap County Emergency Management has been providing all the student cadets with an opportunity to learn about emergency preparedness. The Foundation has been funding Community Emergency Response Team or CERT kits for cadets who go home and sign up as emergency workers with their local emergency management agency. Each kit includes the tools and equipment to help the young person respond and help their community in an emergency. You can learn more about CERT at [this link].
